In Torremaggiore, Emilio Di Pumpo’s victory was overwhelming: he is mayor for the second time.
However, the main opponent, who has the same surname as the mayor, Margherita Di Pumpo, together with Anna Lamedica, Francesco Garofalo and the political forces Liberamente Torremaggiore, Forza Italia, Fratelli d’Italia and Per Torremaggiore, do not seem to have been affected in terms of of concentration, given that, through a press note, they highlighted how the mayor had exaggerated a little in the manner of the celebrations.
The post with which, complete with smileys and symbols, made public an evening spent in the corridors of the headquarters of the Local Police and Civil Protection command, at the Town Hall, in which members of the Local Police, employees and citizens, show themselves smiling in a selfie photo, which one of the participants even published on Facebook: “The mayor must respect the municipal offices which are not places designated for post-election banquets”.
A table of approximately three meters and a dozen people, with the mayor smiling and showing the sign of victory: this is the image that is making the rounds in the chats of the Torremaggioresi, in relation to which the opponents point out the improper use of municipal headquarters: “If euphoria and student spirit are acceptable expressions in the context of post-election celebrations, the same principle does not apply to the use, decidedly improper in this case, of public structures which are solely and exclusively at the disposal of citizens and which must be used for the performance of services. Recalling the Code of Conduct, specific to every public administrator, also at the level of publication on social media, we invite the mayor and the agents to have greater respect for the function of the spaces dedicated to public offices” say the minority city councilors Margherita Di Pumpo, Anna Lamedica, Francesco Garofalo
