Pistoia will host Eurogym 2026, the non-competitive gymnastics festival for all aimed at young people aged between 12 and 18. The appointment was made official this morning, Friday 14 June, after the presentation of the representatives of the organizing committee Simone Monaco and Alessandra Mazzatosta to the Executive Committee of the European Gymnastics Federation which met in Dublin.
Italy prevailed over Estonia which had presented an alternative candidacy. The European Federation appreciated the location and beauty of the city and hoped for the success of the event.
The 15th edition of one of the most important gymnastics events dedicated to young people will therefore see approximately 5 thousand athletes from all over Europe arrive in Pistoia in July 2026 for 8 days who will have the opportunity to perform with their group on a stage international.

L’Eurogym presents a non-competitive format in which young gymnasts perform in the afternoon on the various stages set up in the main city squares. In the morning, however, space will be given to all the sports disciplines present in the area. In Pistoia, a great deal of organization and coordination work will be required which will also involve the newly established municipal sports council.
In the wake of the latest editions, delegations from over 20 nations are expected, which will see gymnasts and gymnasts arrive in the city with their technical trainers and families.
The next step will see the organizing committee of Pistoia go, in July, in just a month, to the Norwegian city of Bodø to receive the deliveries and the testone for 2026. The event is organized, in fact, every two years and the edition of this year it will take place in a few days in Norway.
