Restart. And do it from the bottom up. With the electoral campaign over and the elections concluded, the Civic Coalition tries to start again. The defeat was evident – and the same interpreters of the list in favor of Fabio Anselmo admit it – but now we look to the future: “We lost – specify the new councilors Arianna Poli and Adam Atik – and the reasons will need to be investigated in depth, but what we have built together with all those who supported us must not be lost.”

“Civic Coalition is available to this perspective – they explain -, which alludes to the construction of a opposition of listening and proposal in council offices, but above all in the city. Yes, because it is the city in its materiality, consisting of bodies, lives and spaces, that interests us more than anything else.”

The stated objective is to “dialogue with all opposition forces, re-inhabiting those places of our reality that unfortunately this dispute has overlooked. We will start again from here, from the practice of participation, inclusion and involvement, not because we lack the proposals that we have widely shared up to now, but because we believe that proximity, empathy and the ability to put ourselves in the other’s shoes are indispensable tensions of a correct political practice”.

Hence, therefore, the first concrete step: the convening of an open assembly “with the hope of offering one welcoming discussion space and foreign to rigid logics of belonging. The invitation is addressed to anyone who is suffering from this temporary defeat and wants to transform this disappointment into productive imagination.”
