On Friday 21 June, at the Fonderie Limone, the children’s show “Pinobot – the story of a little robot who became a child” will be staged, created by the Moncalieri Ballet directed by Barbara Casto. Historically, beautiful fairy tales are best turned into a ballet. And if the story in question is particularly suitable for children, the result is always something extraordinary. A context in which “Pinobot – the story of a little robot who became a child” fits perfectly, which the Moncalieri Ballet directed by Barbara Casto will stage on Friday 21 June, at 8pm, in its home theatre, the Fonderie Limone in via Pastrengo. An initiative aimed at children and their families, which enjoys the patronage of the Municipality of Moncalieri and is included in the «Dancing’ together» 2024 project; a dreamy story that winks at modernity with its main character, a robot, but at the same time has its roots in the dogmas of one of the classic fairy tales par excellence, that of Pinocchio which, rereading it in a more 2.0 key, the Our Pinobot is freely inspired by ranging between “cyberine” fairies and a scientist instead of the traditional carpenter. It all begins in the toy and robot laboratory of the famous scientist Geppetta, busy with her new creation: the Pinobot robot. For her it is like a real child who will grow up, go to school, travel the world and who, for the moment, is surrounded by dolls and mechanical toys. Soon, however, Geppetta realizes that she has deluded herself, Pinobot is just a little robot, he will never be a real child, the Cyberina Fairy herself, her assistant Fairy, the Fairies and the Magician realize that Pinobot certainly has a perfect design but his ideas are rather… confusing. What to do? Meanwhile, Pinobot must learn the difference between right and wrong and to do this Grillo must intervene to guide him on the journey to school. A journey where, needless to say, he first encounters the Cat and the Fox and then ends up in the Mangiafuoco theater. So our little robot gets “lost”, literally, until he lands in Toyland thanks to Lucignolo’s bad influence. And here he hits rock bottom, risking becoming a silent robot destined to be sold. He understands, repents and is saved by the fairy Cyberina, who will eventually transform him from a tin man into a real child.
