An art to be touched… in Monza on June 22nd

An event born from a donation: that of Pablo Rossison of the well-known twentieth century painter Attilio Rossi at the Italian Union of the Blind and Visually Impaired in Via Tonale in Monza. Pablo has in fact donated one of the numerous works created by his father which shows a blind man walking through the streets of the city accompanied by his guide dog.

An art to be touched… in Monza on June 22nd

From this work, entitled “Trust in human solidarity and trust in the faithful animal”, a 3D reproduction was born which will also allow those with visual disabilities to enjoy the beauty and artistic ingenuity of the painter.

The appointment is for June 22nd at 4.30 pm in the headquarters of theItalian Union of the Blind and Visually Impaired (via Tonale 4) where the 3D tactile reproduction of the painting will be inaugurated, with Braille captions and enlarged characters, and where it will also be possible to admire the original painting. Pablo Rossi, the art historian Federica Lissandrello and the restorers will be present at the inauguration ceremony. At the end, refreshments will be provided.

“I am happy and honored by this gift – she recalled Silvana Oliva, president of the UICI of Monza -. Not only because it allows members to access the beauty of art through touch. But above all because this project is the demonstration that art, in its many forms, is a means of breaking down barriers.”
