The Municipality of Siena met today, Friday 14 June, with Siena FC to agree on the method of awarding the “Artemio Franchi” stadium and the “Massimo Bertoni” sports complex. In a relaxed and positive atmosphere, the parties agreed that the municipal administration will entrust the management of the two facilities to the Siena Fc company for one year, concluding the administrative process by the end of June.
During the summer the Municipality, as already anticipated, will carry out the renovation works for approximately 350 thousand euros, which will be added to the 50 thousand euros already invested, so as to deliver to Siena FC two infrastructures ready and suitable to face the next sporting season.
“We have confirmed the complete availability on the part of the municipal administration – comments the councilor for sport of the Municipality of Siena Lorenzo Lorè, who participated in the meeting with Siena Fc together with the vice mayor Michele Capitani – to meet the needs of the company in view of the start of activities”.
By the end of the year the municipal administration of Siena will publish the tender for the multi-year concession of the two structures. The choice to entrust the Franchi stadium and the Bertoni complex to Siena FC for a year is motivated by the need to conclude the management process in the shortest possible time.
