The Local Police of Rimini concluded an important operation yesterday, with the arrest of the owner of a pizzeria, born in 1992, for drug dealing. From the two searches, which took place both in the premises and in the man’s house, in a neighborhood upstream from state road 16, around 400 grams of narcotic substances and over 27 thousand euros were found, believed to be the proceeds of the illicit activity.
An operation that began a few weeks ago following several reports from citizens, who had noticed a strange coming and going of people in the place. Unusual movements, which had little to do with the sale of pizzas and which, in the following days, were also confirmed by the investigative activities of the Judicial Police team.
In fact, the plainclothes officers, with various observation and shadowing services, verified for some time the presence of people who stayed in the place for a very short time and left without purchasing the shop’s products.
Hence the decision to intervene, which took place yesterday afternoon, when the officers entered the pizzeria, located in a neighborhood upstream from state road 16, and made themselves recognisable. The owner immediately gave them, spontaneously, four doses of marijuana and hashish, which were placed on the refrigerator, weighing approximately 30 grams in total and a precision scale. From the subsequent search of the premises it emerged that the man was hiding, in the back of the business, other narcotic substances amounting to approximately 370 grams, mainly of the marijuana and hashish type, with also 13 doses of cocaine. In addition to 2400 euros, found in his trouser pockets. Drugs and money which were subjected to a first seizure.
The search then continued also in the owner’s apartment, located not far from the pizzeria. A search, authorized by the Public Prosecutor, which also in this case gave a positive result as the agents found the total sum of 25 thousand euros, another precision scale and various cuttings and material necessary for packaging the doses. Money and various materials, which in this case too were subjected to seizure.
At the end of the investigations, the 32-year-old was arrested on charges of drug dealing and taken to the Rimini prison, where he is currently awaiting validation by the Judge for Preliminary Investigations.
