A1 women’s volleyball, confirmation: Chirichella will play in Conegliano

The separation between Cristina Chirichella and Igor Novara was already known since last April 15th, a few days after the championship semi-final lost to Conegliano, complete with a message on social media.

And Prosecco Doc Imoco Conegliano will be the next destination for the former captain of Igor Novara, whose shirt he wore for the last 10 seasons. The Venetian club itself officially announced it.

The power plant therefore leaves the mosquitoes after a scudetto, three Italian Cups, a League Super Cup, a Champions League (among other things to the detriment of Conegliano), a Wavza Cup and finally the Challenge Cup won at the end of the last season.

Below is an extract of his statements made to the Gialloblù press office:

“After ten years in Novara I felt the time had come to move on, I felt the need in this phase of my career to change the air in search of new stimuli and I think the choice of Conegliano is the best. It will be strange because I have practically always played with the same shirt with which I grew up and experienced many seasons, many challenges, often against Imoco, but now the call from a club of Conegliano’s prestige seemed to me to be the right opportunity to seize to find stimuli new”.
