“The administration is evaluating the possibility of identifying a new area for the expansion of the current sports facilities, where new football pitches, a new grandstand and large parking areas will be provided”. Thus the councilor for sports construction and sport of the Municipality of Siena Lorenzo Loré responded to the question, presented today, Tuesday 14 June in the City Council, by the councilor of the Movimento Civico Senese group, Franco Bossini, regarding the problems encountered at the Mazzola sports field in the street of Cerchiaia.
Loré began by saying that “the requests of sMazzola companies are known to the municipal administration, which has in fact already moved in this direction. The current Plan orperative already envisages a new area with a sports-type urban planning orientation, which includes a new parking surface of such a size as to satisfy, in addition to the new field, partly also the existing one. However, this new area of urban transformation mostly falls within a construction site area of the Lot Zeroor the area of the Cerchiaia junction, fact that vanthepussy the existing forecast, since the area affected by the construction site will be expropriated or in any case temporarily occupied for the entire duration of the works”
“As already mentioned – continued Loré – the administration is evaluating the possibility, also as requested by the Mazzola company, of identifying a new area for the expansion of the current sports facilities, where new football fields, a new grandstand and large parking surfaces. This new transformation area will be located adjacent to the current plants, on the southern side in the opposite direction to that affected by the passage of the new road system and therefore without the risk of interfering with it”.
The councilor of the Movimento Civico Senese group Franco Bossini declared himself “satisfied with the comprehensive answer. I hope that everything can be accomplished soon, especially for the most urgent jobs.”
