MODENA – “How many days has the dog eaten?”. This is the question that the owner of an approximately two-year-old English setter seized by the zoophile guards of Oipa Modena was unable to answer. He was charged for abandonment, mistreatment and incompatible detention resulting in serious suffering. Left abandoned in a sheet metal structure, he was without food and shelter, Ares, as his rescuers called him, forced to lie down on the ground strewn with his excrement. Around the box, the grass was high and not trampled, a sign that confirmed the fact that no one had taken care of the animal for a long time. The dog was found underweight and infested with fleas. Ares is now a guest at Pavullo’s kennel, where he awaits to be entrusted to a family who will want to take care of him and make him forget his dramatic past.
