It was officially presented 2024/2025 season of the Theaters of Sienaor the Renewed Theatrerecently recognized as a national monument and the Rozzi Theatre, both managed by Municipality of Siena.
The new Artistic Director, Vincenzo Bocciarelli also conceived the new symbolic image of the season: a sailing ship emerging from the ocean depths and, struck by rays of sun beyond the sea surface, projects beyond the curtain.
“With this metaphor of life – explains Bocciarelli – and drawing inspiration from an absolute Shakespearean masterpiece such as ‘The Tempest’, I would like to compare the transformations that take place in the soul of the theater to the emotional storm that shakes the waters of the human being and guide the spectator on a cognitive journey crossed by multifaceted repertoires , in a sea in which the spectator abandons his shipwreck on a desert island to swim towards new theatrical horizons, motivated by the same free spirit as Ariel, a character to whom I owe a lot in my acting career.”
The program of the two theaters will have a focus on classic and contemporary prose but also to musicals, ballet, opera, comedy and to shows for children.

The season of the Teatro dei Rinnovati opens October 25th with an absolute national preview: Aladin – The Musical Of Stefano D’Orazio, a story inspired by one of the most famous stories of “The Arabian Nights”, which will see the protagonist Max Laudadio.
The October 29th Siena celebrates, in a special event, one of the greatest living actors, Glaucus Mauri which brings to the stage at the Teatro dei Rinnovati the De Profundis Of Oscar Wilde, in the theatrical version he created with music by Vanya Sturno.
The month of November opens with Cristiana Capotondi in a monologue written and directed by Marco Bonini, Victory is the mercy of the vanquished, an intimate story marked by a touching family story from a mother to a daughter who recounts the war, healed by the gratitude of emotional bonds.
November 8th Ettore Bassi is the protagonist of Mousetrap Of Agatha Christie a classic of theatrical literature translated and adapted by Edoardo Erba directed by Giorgio Gallione and a large cast that embodies a range of bizarre and ambiguous but never stereotyped characters.

The trio composed of Gianfeliceriamoto, Marina Massironi and Valerio Santoro will be the protagonist January 24th de The swag by Joe Orton directed by Francesco Saponaro. The text, written in the 1960s by the great British playwright, is still considered one of the best comedies in the English theater scene.
