Support for construction of plants from renewable sources to increase the energy requirement for the operation of collective irrigation systems: within the scope of the 2014-2022 Rural Development Programme, with a specific managerial decree the Campania region approved the single definitive ranking of the relevant tender, with a financial allocation of 15 million euros.
In total, ten projects were eligible for funding. The largest, of 4 million euros, is the one presented by Paestum Reclamation Consortiumwhich involves the construction of a 240 KW hydroelectric plant in the locality of Ponte Calore, in the municipality of Serre, e two 800 KW photovoltaic systems each at the irrigation tanks in the localities of Tempa San Paolo and Tempa di Lepre in Capaccio Paestum.
Once installed, they will make it possible to drastically reduce the energy costs borne by the institution, on the basis of the careful and prudent management that has characterized, over the years, the work of the consortium administration led by president Roberto Ciuccio, to whom the credit goes of having obtained yet another public loan for the benefit of the consortium members.
The Ciuccio Administration, which has re-nominated unitedly in the elections for the renewal of the consortium bodies scheduled for next Sunday, June 16, communicates that the construction works of a new 45 thousand cubic meter irrigation tank in Serre are also being completed, and that the renovation works will soon also begin on the important Acque Salse canal of Capaccio Paestum, which from Seliano crosses the entire urban center and joins the Rio Ciorlitto.
