Barontini Cup, Astronomy Festival, concerts and much more: it will be a weekend full of events, the one that has just begun. Below, let’s see some events not to be missed in Livorno over the weekend from 14 to 16 June (in the section What to do in the city all events in detail).

Friday 14 June, free entry, Werewolf concert at the Fortezza Vecchia starting from 9.30pm. An opportunity to listen to the famous hits of the Livorno band.

From 14 to 16 June, the second edition of the Astronomy Festival returns to the Fortezza Nuova. Organized by Alsa, the event promotes scientific dissemination with an engaging format, aimed at a general and passionate audience, across ages.

Here we are. After the cancellation of the Risi’atori due to bad weather (it will be restarted on 22 June), the rowing competitions come to life with the famous “triptych”. The first appointment is for Saturday 15 June with the Barontini Cup, fascinating competition that takes place along the city’s ditches.

Saturday 15 June, at 9pm at the Museum of Natural History of the Mediterranean, appointment with the concert of Italian pop music performed by the city band of Livorno directed by Ma Alessandra Luisini. On this occasion, homage will be paid to the major Bigs of Italian music such as Gianni Morandi, Renato Zero, Pooh, Mina Domenico Modugno.

Saturday 15 June, at Vettovaglie, Food And Music with Diego Ruschena duo, guitarist and singer-songwriter of Uruguayan origin.

Saturday 15 June new appointment at the Caprilli racecourse with the summer season races at night.

The “Summer at Villa Trossi” event will start on Sunday 16 June at 9.30pm. The first appointment is with Cheek to cheek – Frank Sinatra Duets with the Jazz Sextet. The opening concert is, by popular demand, the result of a skilful musical elaboration which will see the refined voices of Stefano Brondi and Chiara Pellegrini on stage, with arrangements by the musicians Marco Bartalini on trumpet, Andrea Pellegrini on piano, Nino Pellegrini on double bass and Michele Vannucci on drums.
