The “Unknown Middle Ages” conference in Corigliano-Rossano

CORIGLIANO-ROSSANO – Tomorrow 15 June, at 7.00 pm, in the “Sala Rossa” of Palazzo San Bernardino, the interesting conference organized by the Rotary Clubs Rossano “Bisantium” and Corigliano-Rossano “Sibarys” will take place under the patronage of District 2102 , entitled “Unknown Middle Ages”.

After the greetings of the respective presidents Grazia Beraldo and Adriano Natale Viteritti, the institutional greetings will be addressed by: the Nominated Governor Dino De Marco, the Nominated Governor Giacomo Saccomanno, the Mayor Flavio Stasi, the Headmaster of the Rossano area high school complex Antonio Franco Pistoia, the Past President of the respective clubs Pasquale Catalano and Francesco Lasso.

This will be followed by the presentation of the project by the coordinator of the “Unknown Middle Ages” project, Salvatore Foti and the timely dissertations of the illustrious speakers: Gregorio Aversa with “Unknown Middle Ages” content and objectives; Alfredo Focà “Dissertation on Bruno di Longobucco and the culture of books”; Antonio Aprelino “The discovery of an ancient painting depicting the medieval walls of Corigliano”; Grazia Beraldo “Disclosure of the PCTO project “Unknown Middle Ages” in the Rossano area high school complex and interventions by high school students.

During the event, copies of the unpublished text “Unknown Middle Ages” landscapes, history, monuments and archeology of central Jonica Calabria in the Middle Ages will be donated by the organizing clubs to Local Authorities, Associations, Museums, Libraries and Educational Institutions. The Governor of Rotary District 2102, Franco Petrolo, concluded the event.
