Sixty years of new cinema festival in the year of Pesaro, Italian capital of culture. Two important goals hailed yesterday, on the eve of the start of the historic event, by the new mayor of the city on his first outing as mayor: Andrea Biancani. In fact, the International Festival of New Cinema begins today with the arrival of Sergio Castellitto and a tribute on the twentieth anniversary of one of his films: Don’t Move. Also presenting the start of an increasingly international edition were the outgoing former deputy mayor Daniele Vimini, the artistic director, Pedro Armocida and the organizational director, Cristian Della Chiara. Tomorrow there will be a round table by Cna Cinema e Audiovisivo on the crisis in theaters and the production of cinema in the Marche region and then in the evening in the square there will be a celebration of the cult film Four Weddings and a Funeral by Mike Newell.
