If for the 2024 season it was decided to extend the 3 concessions currently expiring until the end of the year, the Lametina municipal administration is keeping faith with its intentions with the launch of the competitive public tender procedure for the release of the concessions starting from the 2025 bathing season state-owned maritime areas in the Lamezia Terme area for tourist-recreational purposes, for a period of between 6 and 20 years.

Retracing the various legislative stages, also at European level, according to the provisions of the current Municipal Beach Plan of the Municipality of Lamezia Terme the state maritime concessions of the areas will be put to tender Marinella (1 sailing center of 14,280 m2 on the border with the territory of Gizzeria, 2 beaches serving the Marinella village, 4 bathing establishments), Woods Coastal (3 factories, with the Poseidon lido one still to be started and expiring on 31 October 2038) and Junipers (9 establishments, with in the plan also the hypothesis of a tenth as a municipal lido in the part furthest from the seafront, however not included in the current tender), with in common a minimum allowable seafront of 35 linear meters (for the sailing center only a minimum is not indicated, but only the maximum of 91.5) and a maximum that ranges between 50 and 56 linear metres.

There are also different lots available in size, divided into surface ranges between 4,760 and 6,800 m2, 3,115 and 4,984, 3,010 and 4,816, 2,975 and 4,760, 2,905 and 4,648, 2,835 and 4,536, 2,730 and 4,368, 2,485 and 3,976, 3,710 and 5,936, 3,920 and 6,272, 2,485 and 3976, 2,030 and 3248, 1,820 and 2912, 2,135 and 3808, 2,135 and 3416, 1,890 and 3024.

Since the estimated amount of the award is higher than the community threshold and that of the Contracting Authority of the Municipality of Lamezia Terme, the management of the contract is transferred to the Single Procurement Center of the Metropolitan City of Reggio Calabria, a body affiliated with the Municipality of Lamezia Terme regarding contracts managed by qualified Single Station.

The concession will be awarded to the competitor who has achieved the highest score relating to technical quality (maximum 75 points divided between 27 for the quality of the proposed project, 8 for the project implementation timetable, 40 for the services offered and quality of the tourist offer and management) and the economic offer (maximum 25 points divided by 20 for the proposed increase in payment of the state property fee based on the auction, subject annually, from the second year, to adjustment, and 5 for the evaluation of the annual budget to be make available to the municipality of Lamezia Terme as a percentage of each euro of rent offered for socially useful initiatives promoted by the Heritage Sector and agreed with the party).

Within the technical offer, specific scores are included for the improvement of parking in private areas for customers, access for disabled people, cultural and tourist promotion of the area. Rewards also for the most economically sustainable interventions, but also with the lowest environmental impact, commitment to carry out the service on an annual basis, or for those who among the additional services provide emergency and medical-health services proportionate to the expected users, recreational and recreational activities (plan bar and dance floor, board games such as table football and ping pong), wellness centre, baby sitting and kinderheim/baby care, wifi coverage throughout the entire facility, restaurant-pizzeria, sports instruction, boat and boat rental, animal area, accompaniment and services dedicated to people with mobility difficulties compared to the minimum standards required by law, reception service and info-point and a more functional exhibition area for the benefit of the municipal offer.

From the point of view of the economic offer, the annual fee subject to an increase in percentage, calculated on the auction basis, will be divided between:

Marinella and Coastal Forest areas (Category A):

  • €2.53209 per m2 of uncovered area;
  • €4.22015 per m2 of area covered by works that are easy to remove (factory, cabins, etc.).

Ginepri area (Category B):

  • €1.26604 per m2 of uncovered area;
  • €2.11008 per m2 of area covered by works that are easy to remove (factory, cabins, etc.).

The percentage increase offer will be evaluated on the minimum rent required by law – minimum 2% and with increments of no less than 1%.
