The government provides support to Tuscany for the crisis in the fashion sector. In recent days, as announced by the president of the Region, Eugenio Gianithe minister of business and Made in Italy Adolfo Urso responded to his letter, sent to him to report the crisis situation in the fashion and textile sector.
«The minister has undertaken to concretely address the problems posed by Tuscany for the protection of the fashion sector, which is crucial for our region and for Italy due to its strong propensity for exports and the growth potential linked to it. While waiting for developments, the Region has brought together a crisis table in the sector, with the aim of making possible a first useful intervention for businesses, namely the availability of Sace And Italian Banking Association to renegotiate the existing loans guaranteed by Sace. Furthermore, the Region itself has made it known that it will delve into the open questions in the specific sectors, starting with the tanning sector, the subject of a first meeting held at the end of May, where representatives of the municipalities in the leather area, the trade unions and the trade associations.
«I will reconvene the table soon for updates, also in view of a study that is being prepared for meIrpet-Regional Institute for Tuscan economic planning on the hours of layoffs”, explained a MFF Giani. «Even if they are integrated, I keep the tanning sector separate because I feel the need for more structural aspects from the leather district».
