Equipped with the new Performance Pack, a cockpit designed specifically for the driver and carbon fiber parts, it enters European territory.

Aerodynamic excellence

The performance package, needed to stop the clock along the legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife under seven minutes, includes exclusive elements. Among the excellent features on the aerodynamic front are the drag reduction system and the flops underneath the body of the car. Thanks to the vast technical knowledge accumulated over the years of service, the Blue Oval team has created something distinctive, which goes straight to the essence. Here then is the adoption of Lightweight packagewhich sacrifices sound-absorbing components and introduces 20-inch magnesium wheels.

Then move on to painting. This time the choice falls on a bold shade burgundy, combined perfectly with the finish of the Carbon version. However, if you prefer a different nuance, the color palette is wide enough, also for the stripes and brake calipers.

The interior features a 12.4-inch reconfigurable digital instrument cluster and a 13.2-inch touchscreen, based on Unreal Engine technology, renowned in the gaming industry. Custom graphics add an exclusive touch. On the Ford Mustang GTD the driver becomes one with the car. In the name of performance, eliminate the superfluous and focus your energy on performance on the track. Given that the starting pony car is a staple of the Ford range, the behavior of the new arrival reaches superior standards.

A killer eight-cylinder

Both the steering wheel and the Recaro seats emphasize pleasure. The controls also adjust the stiffness of the suspension and the exhaust mode, so as to tackle both curves and straights in an optimal manner. And if maneuvers in parking lots and driveways are “scary”, draw the joker from the deck. Integrated into the central panel, a pair of buttons allows you to access the Track Apps menu, without dangerous distractions. Under the hood beats an eight-cylinder supercharged by 5.2 liters, capable of releasing 800 HPcombined with an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

Thanks to the very light carbon fiber bodywork and the active aerodynamics of the Performance Pack, we took inspiration from the world of motorsport to ensure that the Mustang GTD performs in every situation, all with the aim of completing a lap of Nürburgring in less than seven minutes.”
