Mother and daughter were hit and killed by a train near the Montesilvano station (Pescara) on the Adriatic line.

It happened this afternoon. around 6pm.

Railway traffic was suspended for a couple of hours, between Montesilvano and Silvi (Teramo), due to investigations by the judicial authorities.

According to the first information from the rescuers, it cannot be ruled out that it could be a voluntary gesture.

Rail traffic on the Adriatica line resumed at around 8pm, but slowed down significantly due to the collision of the two people. Trenitalia makes this known.

High Speed, Intercity and Regional trains can record a longer travel time of up to 140 minutes; Furthermore, regional trains may be subject to route limitations. Bus routes have been activated between Pescara and
Giulianova.

The High Speed ​​and Intercity trains directly involved in the incident, with a longer journey time of more than 60 minutes: they are the FR 8828 Lecce (12.57) – Venezia Santa Lucia (10.09pm), the FR 8811 Milano Centrale (13 :35) – Lecce (9.57pm), the FR 9810 PESCARA (5.54pm) – Milano Centrale (10.35pm) and the Intercity 609 Bologna Centrale (2.00pm) – Lecce (10.49pm).
