Tragedy at the train station Montesilvano, in the province of Pescara. Mother and daughter, seen entering the station hand in hand, were hit by a Frecciarossa train: the bodies were torn apart by the convoy and are unrecognizable.
Witnesses reported having seen the woman with the little girl crossing the station and heading towards the tracks. They have not yet been recognized.

There are several 118 ambulances, the railway police and the carabinieri on site for the investigation. It is currently unclear what happened. Certainly, around 6.30 pm today, mother and daughter ended up under the train passing through the station. The dynamics of what happened are still being examined by the police and the Polfer. Two boys were heard, in tears and in a strong state of shockthey said they saw the woman with a little girl: “They were walking on the platform when suddenly we no longer saw them.”
At that moment a Frecciarossa was passing by on its way to Milan and it was unable to do anything to avoid them. The two bodies, unrecognizable, remained on the tracks for several hours awaiting the technical investigations of the investigators, who arrived immediately on site after the alarm call to 112. The train driver was also interviewed.
