Rome – Salvatore Pilatemagistrate of the Court of Auditors; Patrizia Scarchilligeneral director at MIT and the Captain Giuseppe Strano, outgoing commander of the Port Authority of Fiumicino. It was officially formalized by MIT inspection commission for the ports of Genoa and Savona which had been announced weeks after the judicial investigation which devastated Liguria and in particular the port of Genoa, bringing the former president of the airport Paolo Emilio Signorini to prison and under house arrest president of the Region, Giovanni TotiAnd the port entrepreneur Aldo Spinelli. An investigation which also involved Paolo Piacenza (under investigation for abuse of office) who yesterday resigned as extraordinary commissioner of the Authority, giving way to Admiral Massimo Senobut remaining at Palazzo San Giorgio as general secretary.

The Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport explains that the ministerial commission, led by Pilate, will have the task of carrying out, “for administrative purposes, a technical inspection activity on the procedures for issuing state concession documents – and with respect to any other fact, act or news connected to these procedures – by the Western Ligurian Sea Port System Authority. In a particularly delicate moment, the initiative falls within the scope of the measures aimed at guaranteeing the standards of transparency, efficiency and legality of operations and administrative procedures in the ports of Genoa and Savona”.
