PESCARA – The vertical project has come to life “Gastronomic and cultural itinerary in the Naples of the Bourbons” which sees the collaboration of the Aterno-Manthoné Institute, directed by the principal Elvira Pagliuca and the comprehensive school 8, directed by the principal Michela Terrigni.

The 3 A Tourism and 3 H International Relations and Marketing classes of the Aterno-Manthoné Institute, with the teachers Silvana Britti and Rita Petaccia and classes 2 A and 2 F, of the Tinozzi middle school, with the teacher Santa By Loritomet again to share research on cultural and gastronomic traditions and on the Neapolitan/Spanish linguistic contamination in Naples at the time of the Bourbons.

The objectives of the project are the research and re-elaboration of texts that contain references to the cultural and culinary traditions of the Spanish Comunidades and, in particular, to the typical recipes of the Bourbon court in Naples. This work-sharing meeting will be followed by a competition based on the Masterchef model and a walk through Bourbon Naples, with Spanish-speaking guides.

The students, as protagonists, experiment with reading and research skills in Spanish, the exercise of fluency in presentation, comparison and respect for the ideas of others. Collaborative activity between students of different school levels refines functional orientation skills to acquire critical skills, channeling energies towards objectives, responsibility towards commitments, encourages creativity, experiences and emotions, also thanks to the variety of means of communication.

All this to help them master the Spanish language as well as for communicative purposes, especially to interact in different contexts and areas of culture and life.
