The disabled young man who disappeared yesterday from Cisterna has been found in Latina

Hours of anguish yesterday due to the disappearance of a young Romanian with disabilities, resident in Cori, whose traces were lost in the afternoon in Cisterna.

Having arrived from the Lepino municipality by public transport, he did not show up for the appointment for the usual rehabilitation activities to be carried out in Cisterna, hence the wait and finally the concern of his family with the report forwarded to the Local Police Command of Cisterna, where the boy was seen for the last time.

An intense research and reconnaissance activity of the territory was therefore started in collaboration with the local Carabinieri station and with the Civil Protection volunteer teams.

A search was also carried out to identify the public transport in service in the previous hours on the Cisterna – Cori route so as to contact the drivers and, through them, attempt to trace the missing person. A happy intuition that allowed us to reconstruct the journey of the boy who, after returning to Cori, got back on another vehicle and got off at the Cotral station in Latina.

In constant contact with the soldiers of the Cisterna Carabinieri Station, the agents of the Cisterna Local Police Command, coordinated by Commander Raoul De Michelis, immediately went to Latina and with two patrols began the patrol of the area adjacent to the bus terminus.

After gathering information from various passers-by and carefully monitoring social channels, they finally managed, just before midnight, to find the missing person while he was wandering along a side street in the Pantanaccio area.

The boy, although tried, was found in fair health conditions. The officers then informed his family, the Cisterna Carabinieri station and 118. A little later the boy was taken into custody by his family who had in the meantime arrived at the scene of the discovery.
