two days of fun and inclusiveness in Varese

The Diamo table football tournament will be held on Wednesday 19 June at the San Vittore Oratory in Varese “football for disabilities”with the aim of raising awareness of the concept of inclusiveness.

«We want to create a second opportunity for training, meeting, game between generations and different abilities respecting the abilities of each competitor through compensation and growth devices such as: adapted table football tables, sound balls, foggy glasses, insulating headphones and wheelchairs” explain the organizers.

There will be a training day on Monday 17th from 3pm to 6.30pm while the actual tournament will take place two days later, again from 3pm to 6.30pm.

The president of Fpicb will participate in the event Francesco Bonanno as well as a 9-time Paralympic Table Football world champion.

The presidents of the other partner associations will also be present and participating: Spazio Happiness, the presidents of Fpicb and Polha who lent the two gaming tables, cisv, Donatori del tempo who will lend the compensation wheelchairs and the Gs Ens Varese who during the break with snack will present Lis Italian sign language with the support of an interpreter to make it accessible to those who cannot see.

Furthermore, an innovative sound ball will be used, invented in partnership between the companies Lupo Sport of Malnate and Mass Technocreations, which can be visualized in action by those who do not see or see little.

Up for grabs for participants will be, in addition to the Fpicb medals, special prizes offered to traders in Varese.

All this would not have been possible without the civic association “Varese Convenience” in collaboration with the Happiness Space of Youth Ministry and various sports associations of people with disabilities and young adolescents, as well as sponsored by the Panathlon Club Varese. Registration is free and the event is open both to those who want to participate but also to those who just want to attend or spend a day of carefree inclusion.
