BARI – The sentence against the 54-year-old convicted felon who from November 2021 and for a few months allegedly persecuted, with phone calls and stakeouts, the mother of a student from Majorana institute in the San Paolo district. The woman victim of stalking – this would have been the reason for the defendant’s insistence – would have headbutted the alleged “bully” of her 14-year-old daughter and, after this episode, the persecutory behavior on the part of the man, ex-partner, would have begun of the mother of the alleged “bully”.
The story begins on November 20, 2021. Following the alleged bullying behavior towards her daughter by a classmate, the mother decided to go to school to deal with the matter. On that occasion, however, she allegedly had an argument with the same alleged “bully” as her daughter. From that moment – they reconstructed the investigations on the basis of the woman’s complaint – she began to receive several phone calls, including that of the accused, at the time the partner of the mother of the teenager alleged to be the victim of the headbutt. Initially the man would have asked for the sum of 20 thousand euros “to solve the problem”, that is as “compensation for the damage, because, according to her – we read in the documents – the lady had hit the bully with a headbutt breaking her nose” . Then the 54-year-old began to behave in increasingly more pressing ways. He allegedly made death threats, telling her “that he should have called “Cappuccio”, alluding to a funeral home”. On two occasions he allegedly lurked in front of the house and in the places usually frequented by the woman and her daughter. Behaviors that would also have been carried out towards the bullied minor, followed right inside the front door of the house. Finally, on April 7, when he learned that he had been reported, he allegedly railed against the woman.
The alleged stalking, however, is only the epilogue of this story. The story has two backgrounds: a 14-year-old alleged victim of bullying at school (in the same institute where in September 2022 a teacher was slapped by the father of a pupil) and the mother who, accompanied by her older sister, reacts by attacking the alleged bully of his daughter.
A trial for stalking is underway before the juvenile judges for the “bully” teenager, for having threatened her peer with phrases such as: “You will be my cannon fodder, as soon as you return to school I will break your other three ribs” and, in on at least two occasions, he attempted to attack her. Mother and daughter aged 47 and 20 who then attacked the girl, headbutting her in the face which caused her to fracture her nasal septum, were recently convicted of personal injury and interruption of public service.
