After the vote on 8 and 9 June and the ballot on Monday 10 June, yesterday the Central Electoral Office settled in section no. 1 has completed the summary operations of the electoral results relating to the direct election of the Mayor. Following these operations he proclaimed elected to the office of Mayor of the Municipality of Mazara del Vallo Salvatore Quinci which in the first round received the highest number of valid votes equal to 12,542.

The formal note of the official proclamation, signed by the president of the Central Electoral Office Cinzia Ferreri who is assisted by the president of section 1 Fabio Maiani, by the secretary and scrutineers of the same section, is being notified this morning to the mayor. With this act, the “2024-2029 mandate of Quinci Bis” begins today for the reconfirmed Mayor. Furthermore, with today’s official proclamation, the Council appointed by the Mayor in the first administrative mandate expires.

The inauguration ceremony of Mayor Quinci for his second consecutive administrative mandate will be held Monday 17 June at 10 am at Palazzo dei Carmelitani, seat of the Municipality.

The Mayor reserves the right in these days to appoint the new Council, of which he has already announced the first 5 members who will be part of it when submitting the candidacy.

The work of the Central Electoral Office continues for the summary operations of the votes of the direct election of the City Council.
