PORTO SAN GIORGIO (FM) – In recent days they were concluded by the Carabinieri of Porto San Giorgio investigations to trace the perpetrators of the brutal attack which took place at the end of April, when a resident was beaten by a group of boys in the city centre, near the car park along Viale della Vittoria. The young man was attacked after getting out of his car, and his attackers fled when the military arrived. In fact, the resident had come to the car park to park his car but was targeted and hindered by a group of boys who had beaten him for no apparent reason. Thanks to some passers-by who had reported the episode, the 118 health workers then intervened Carabinieri of Porto San Giorgio who immediately set to work to give a face and a name to the members of the group, perpetrators of the cowardly beating. For some time now the Fermo force has intensified its control action on the coastal strip and in particular in the areas considered most at risk because they are frequented by groups of very young people (both Italians and 2nd and 3rd generation foreigners) who, most of the time complicit even those who abuse alcohol or drugs are prone to assaults, predatory crimes, fights and vandalism. During these intense checks, numerous subjects of operational interest were identified and the investigations conducted by the Porto San Giorgio station have so far made it possible to do justice to the entire city since two of those involved have already been reported for the episode of 29 April, namely of two 18-year-olds, known for their acquaintances, one born in Tunisia and one in Senegal, burdened by police records. The action to combat such episodes will continue with firmness, especially as the bathing season approaches and the Fermo Company has already planned specific targeted services for the protection and control of meeting places, also involving the special departments of the Carabinieri (in particular the unit dog lovers of Pesaro, the NAS of Ancona and the Labor Inspectorate of Ascoli) to give concrete answers to the right request for safety made by the citizens. Only since the beginning of June, in the first week, four extraordinary control services were carried out on the weekends, dedicated to the municipality of Porto San Giorgio with the use of a total of around 40 soldiers and which have made it possible to control 215 subjects so far of which approximately 20% have police records and 149 vehicles. A specific verification action has also been launched on the positions of individuals of operational interest for the imposition of personal prevention measures which will be proposed to the Police Commissioner of Fermo in order to use all the regulatory tools available useful for consolidating legality in the territory: in this sense all citizens and businesses are invited to collaborate with the police in order to contribute to making the territory safer and immune from similar episodes that have upset public opinion. The criminals responsible for such gestures will all be identified and prosecuted with every means that the legislation makes available to the police forces; no one will go unpunished and every effort will be made to bring such individuals to justice to answer for their actions before the law.
