The 2024 edition of Firenze Rocks, the Festival produced by Live Nation, kicks off on Thursday 13 June, which will see the avenged sevenfold go on stage at the Visarno Arena in Florence. A return six years after their last performance in Italy, right on the stage of the Visarno Arena. The date at Firenze Rocks will be the only stop in Italy. Avenged Sevenfold continued to maintain their position as one of metal’s most influential and innovative bands with the release of their eighth studio album, “Life Is But a Dream…”, released on June 2, 2023. Written and recorded in span of four years, was inspired by the writings and philosophy of Albert Camus, showing how the band is totally rooted in existentialism. They confirm themselves as an avant-garde point of reference in metal music, not only for their sonic innovation, but also for their extraordinary live performances. The combination of technology and live performance has become a hallmark of Avenged Sevenfold, offering spectators memorable and immersive experiences.

THE Bowling for Soup I am the most acclaimed punk rock band from Texas, with millions of streams and nominated for a Grammy. Starting from their humble beginnings, they went through the experience of a major record label for many years (Jive Records) before enjoying independent success on their own label for over a decade. The duo Bob Vylana band with a unique and constantly evolving sound, which crosses styles and genres, abandoning the concept of “traditional song” and embracing new sonic dimensions, in an attempt to create a bridge and blending genres and subcultures together. It is precisely this uniqueness that has led them to be loved by rock, rap, punk, dance and alternative audiences. Their new album “Humble As The Sun” was released on April 5th. Their 2022 album “Bob Vylan Presents The Price Of Life” won the Kerrang! ‘Best Album’ award in 2022 and earned the band their first MOBO Award in the new ‘Alternative’ category. They also won over fans like of Iggy Pop and Craig Charles on their 6music shows, performed live on the BBC at Glastonbury, appeared on the covers of magazines like Kerrang!, Hardbeat and Gigwise and was talked about by everyone from the Guardian to Rolling Stone Magazine And finally the Cemetery Sun, a band that has shared stages with Blink-182, The Maine, Papa Roach and is compared to the likes of Twenty One Pilots and Linkin Park, thanks to the splendid musical chemistry that distinguishes them and the profound lyrics written by singer Josh Doty. From the anthemic nuances and unfiltered lyrics of launch single “Fake Love” (which has racked up over 13 million plays on Spotify) to the amaranthine alt-rock that made 2019’s “Haunted” EP so compelling, they’ve spent the last few years combining California sunshine, R&B flourishes and pure emotional catharsis like no other.

Avenged sevenfold

On the second day, Saturday 15 June, the headliners will be the Tools, the historic American avant-garde progressive metal band whose concerts stand out for a sophisticated visual production that integrates elements of art, video and lights, creating multisensory experiences that go beyond the simple concert. The band is also known for the enigmatic and reflective approach to the lyrics, often full of symbolism and philosophical themes. With a career spanning over three decades, Tool continues to influence numerous artists and leave an indelible mark on the world of contemporary music, distinguishing themselves through their dedication to artistry and musical innovation. The show arriving in Florence has been described as «a dizzying concert that demonstrated how singular their art is, a transcendental experience that transcends the boundaries between genres». The band has chosen to return to Firenze Rocks after five years of absence from our country, promising to give fans an extraordinary and memorable experience. Also on stage on Saturday The Struts, a British rock band who have earned a global reputation as an unmissable live act. Bursting onto the scene with “Could Have Been Me,” they have since released three albums (which include collaborations with A-listers like Robbie Williams, Kesha, Tom Morello and Def Leppard’s Joe Elliott and Phil Collen) garnering more than 850 million streams on-demand and selling out all over the world. And again, i dEUS, the cult Belgian rock band with an elegant and unmistakable sound, known for their eclectic musical style that combines elements of alternative rock, indie rock, art rock and experimental influences. Over the years they have further consolidated their reputation thanks to their ability to mix captivating melodies with complex arrangements and profound lyrics and for their engaging and dynamic live performances. With a rich and varied discography, dEUS continues to explore new sonic territories, always maintaining a strong artistic identity and a constant search for innovation. And finally the Night Verses. The Californian band, endowed with a great creative ability, is renowned for having upset the rules of progressive metal. Night Verses are excellent live performers, they have galvanized listeners by fusing prog, alt-metal, post-rock and ambient electronica. In 2018, their acclaimed album “From The Gallery Of Sleep” established them as fearless, genre-defying innovators. Dubbed “The Salvador Dali of prog-metal” by Noisey/Vice, the album has been acclaimed as “boundary-breaking prog” (Revolver), “ambitious and inventive” (Exclaim!) and “a masterpiece of layered prog” (Distorted Sound).
