Third sector and sustainable finance together in Modena: the Cantieri ViceVersa Summer School returns

It will take place in Modena, from 2 to 4 July, the new edition of the Cantieri ViceVersa Summer School, which brings together representatives of the Third Sector and Italian financial operators, with the aim of encouraging, through dialogue and collaboration, the construction of a more sustainable and inclusive society, and of strengthen the role of non-profits in the development of the social economy. Promoted by Third Sector Forum and from Forum for Sustainable Financethe project has established itself over the years as innovative meeting place between supply and demand of financial instruments for the third sectoraccompanying the latter in growing awareness of the importance of sustainable finance to increase their ability to generate positive impacts on the territories through social activity.

There first analysis of the Third Sector Single Register recently found that for most newly registered organisations, financial and funding problems are fundamental. The Cantieri ViceVersa project, now in its sixth edition, intends to intervene precisely on these difficulties, on the one hand helping the third sector to improve knowledge and ability to access financial instruments and, on the other, stimulating financial operators to recognize the peculiar ways in which the Third Sector builds value, and consequently to adapt the offer of services. The path of mutual knowledge between these two worlds goes in the direction of affirming and making efficient a economic model oriented towards the well-being of people and the communityin line with what we want to achieve in Europe and Italy with the Plan for the social economy.

The three days in Modena will see the holding of working groups focused on credit, equity, insurance, philanthropy and fundingas well as moments of debate with representatives of institutions, the financial world and journalists.

Among the training activities of the project, since last year, there is the ViceVersa Academy shipyards: a training course that intends to provide both the world of demand and that of supply with basic skills in finance and the value creation model of the Third Sector. The platform, completely free and accessible from the website www.cantieriviceversa.it/academy, has been enriched with further content for this edition.
