The three subjects reported for aggravated fraud had sold a tractor online for 3500 euros but after having collected the money they became untraceable.

GIOIA TAURO (REGGIO CALABRIA) – Three people have been reported for aggravated fraud against a citizen of the Gioia Tauro plain. The investigations conducted by the state police officers of the Gioia Tauro police station arose from the victim’s complaint.
It all started with an announcement published on social media by some people who pretended to be employees of a construction company in northern Italy, who, under a false name, said they were selling agricultural vehicles at advantageous prices.

The victim, interested in the advantageous deal, contacted the sellers to purchase the vehicle. After making the 3500 euro transfer, they waited in vain for the tractor to arrive. Meanwhile, the authors of the advert, immediately after receiving the money, were unavailable.
The response of the State Police was immediate, which thanks to meticulous investigative activity identified and tracked down the three alleged perpetrators. The perpetrators reported for the online scam would all be from the Crotone area. The police served him the notice of investigation and of the conclusion of the preliminary investigations.
