Zanica, 12 June 2024 – Fatal accident this afternoon, Wednesday 12 June, along the state road 42. This is reported by the press service of Areu, the Lombardy emergency emergency agency. The crash – a head-on collision between a car and a van which would have involved a third vehicle – occurred shortly after 2.45pm.

The impact, apparently very violent, is proved fatal to the driver of the car, a man of unknown age. His death was confirmed on site by the 118 operators who intervened after the call.
The driver of the van, a 50-year-old man, was also hospitalized. taken to Papa Giovanni hospital in Bergamo with trauma chest, arm and leg. The 43-year-old woman driving the third vehicle involved in the accident was also injured and taken to hospital in Zingonia.
A medical vehicle, two ambulances, the firefighters and the police arrived on site, called to reconstruct the dynamics and causes of the incident. The road was closed to allow the traffic police to carry out investigations: the traffic was diverted onto the provincial routes until shortly after 6pm, when the road was reopened to traffic. Anas officials are also at work.
