The very young water polo players of the Under 13 team of Nuoto Sub Faenza have conquered the third place in the Emilia-Romagna Uisp regional championship in the category: last Saturday in Bologna they won for 10 to 9 on training Formigine/Sassuolowhich consequently ended its official season in fourth place.
The first match played in Ravenna of a post-season tournament organized by the regional Federnuoto saw a Under 16 training mixed team of Nuoto Sub Faenza and Ravenna Water Polo prevailed for 18 to 3 on the same age groups of the Riccione Municipal Sports Centre. The tournament will conclude at the end of June.
For what concern I swim in the lane, about twenty athletes from the Seniors, Cadets, Juniors and Coaches’ categories Marco Fregnani And Fabrizio Zani took part in the 27th “Italo Nicoletti” International Trophy at the Riccione Swimming Stadium last weekend.
Once again they shined Alex Gaddoni and, in the women’s field, Andrea Maltoni.
Gaddoni has won the 200 and 400 medleyalso got the third place in the 100 butterfly, 200 butterfly and 200 freestyle, also qualifying for the Italian Summer Category Championshipsscheduled in Rome from 5 to 12 August, in the 200 freestyle in addition to the 100, 200 butterfly and 200 medley.
In Riccione Andrea Maltoni he put it around his neck bronze medal in the 200 backstroke and he played the finals in the 200 freestyle, 50 backstroke and 100 backstroke; at the Italian Championships he will be competing in 50 back.
The “Nicoletti” Trophy also saw Giada Minelli improve personal bests by obtaining fourth place in the 800 and 1500 freestyle; Penelope Sangiorgi she competed in the 200 medley final, placing eighth.
The swimmers Beginners B of the coach Marco Mastrapasqua they were instead expected from the Finals of Summer regional championship at the “Campedelli” swimming pool in Carpi in a 25 meter pool, where no podium results were achieved for the six finalists: Giuseppe Lega, Emanuele Cacciari, Francesco Testa, Sophie Tassinari, Elena Coveri, Emma Alpiwho however improved their personal bests.
The good performances of Emma Alpi in the 200m medley (1st among those born in 2015 and 8th in the general ranking) and in the 50m butterfly (1st among those born in 2015 and 5th in the general ranking) and Elena Coveri in the 200m breaststroke (3rd in 2015 and 12th in the general ranking).
From Friday 14th to Sunday 16th June the B Beginners and the A Beginners will be involved in the 27th “Tifernum Tiberinum” Meeting in Città di Castello, the C Beginners in Terni in the Italian Libertas Propaganda Championship, while Seniors, Cadets, Juniores and Boys will be in away to Lido di Merano for the 8th° Cool Swim Meeting.
