Environment: yes from the Chamber to the Tuscany Region – Municipality of Prato planning agreement

Florence – The Chamber of Palazzo del Pegaso approved by majority with 21 votes in favor (Pd, Iv and M5S) and 9 against (Lega, FdI and Mixed Merit and Loyalty Group) the resolution ratifying the planning agreement between the Tuscany Region and the Municipality of Prato, for the adaptation of the Structural Plan relating to the territorial area affected by the “Piano Agricultural Park” territorial project to the provisions contained in the Pit (Territorial Address Plan).

The act, illustrated by the president of the Territory and Environment commission, provides that the Region signs planning agreements with the municipalities that fall within the territorial scope of the Park, and that their urban planning instruments incorporate the contents of the project. The agreement allows the municipality of Prato to perfect the process of preparing the structural plan to adapt it to the Pit. The use of the planning agreement is a mandatory procedural requirement, as underlined by the president, to harmonize the planning tools of the competent administrations. This agreement confirms the preliminary agreement signed in June last year.

The Regional Council has already ratified similar planning agreements with the Municipalities of Campi Bisenzio, Sesto Fiorentino and Calenzano; Poggio a Caiano and Florence. With the planning agreement, the administrations consensually define the changes to be made to their respective territorial planning tools.
