Another 4 more interns for the Municipality which has signed an agreement with Genesi Lavoro Ets, an association that manages training projects for the Metropolitan City. These are new figures, including 3 twenty-year-olds from different centers in the Gioia Tauro plain, who join – for a period of just 3 months and working 5 days a week – the 23 long-term and social inclusion trainees, the so-called Tis.
After the impetus provided by the Personnel Councilor Simona Monteleone, the Decision of the head of the Municipality’s Welfare Area, Saverio Latella, officially gives the go-ahead to the collaboration which, although not providing for expenditure commitments to be borne by the Institution, constitutes a another extraordinary opportunity that the council led by mayor Roy Biasi in this case makes available to the former Province, committed to introducing the unemployed towards the world of work through extensive training.
It is no coincidence that the training internship at the basis of this first agreement appears strategic, given that the 4 trainees will qualify – also thanks to the experience they will gain in the service of the Taurianovese Municipality – as “Operators for information, accompaniment and tutoring in training and orientation paths for job placement”. In practice, the Reggina Ets has chosen Taurianova to train future trainers, a significant step in a collaboration that could also bring other young interns included in the courses who have a more immediate connection with the world of professions to service in the organization.
The current curricular training internship, which will see these 4 future operators in contact with the Institution’s staff ready to provide the practical support that perfects the training, therefore also constitutes a first experiment that could give rise to a relationship that, if desired, could renew annually.
«We welcome the new interns employed in our Municipality – declared Councilor Monteleone – and we confirm our attention towards the professional training sector, expanding the range of those institutional synergies that qualify the Institution’s commitment to young people who want to acquire a qualification that can be used in the job market. There is no doubt that for these students, being able to commit themselves to learning how to help others to enter the world of work becomes an enriching experience by being in contact with a Municipality that interfaces with other institutions on a daily basis for that teamwork that becomes a a valuable training ground for those in training, making them aware of the opportunities offered by European tenders but also the practice of flexibility that every bureaucracy must dedicate itself to if it wants to maintain a concrete approach aimed solely at solving problems”.
