This morning, Wednesday 12 June, an important meeting was held at the headquarters of Ring road Naples Spa to define the opening times of the connection ramps to the tunnel connecting the Ring road and the Port of Pozzuoli.
The mayor of Pozzuoli Gigi Manzoni issued updates regarding the meeting, after the recent contractual termination with the concessionaire Copin Due Spa as a result of the serious non-compliance recorded.
“The works, started and never completed for too many years, represent fundamental escape routes in the event of major seismic events. With the decisive commitment of President De Luca, through the work of the General Directorate for Major Works and the Commissioner’s Structure L. 887/84, we have taken action leading to the termination of the contract with the concessionaire Copin Due Spa as a consequence of the serious non-compliances recorded”, explains the mayor Manzoni.
During this morning’s meeting, the new design was defined, the necessary resources were quantified and the relevant approval and use procedures for the resources allocated by the Commission were established. Campania region.
“We quickly overcame incomprehensible delays. Soon, with the agreement of the Ministry of Transport, we will be able to define the completion times of the ramps towards Naples and towards Rome which will certainly be open by the end of the year”, concludes the mayor.
