A seat for two, 56,458 eligible voters, to be involved in a ballot that will raise the tone of the political debate between now and 23 and 24 June.
On the one hand the centre-right, with the first move after the polls entrusted to a statement that opens up to the big names in national politics, to the leaders who have not yet passed through Cremona to support Portesani’s candidacy. Not only that: the released note winks at the other forces in the field in the first round, referring to alternative contents to the continuity traced in the last two mandates by the Galimberti council and looking at the points of contact with the proposal of Maria Vittoria Ceraso on welfare and perceived security, and of Paola Tacchini first of all with no to biomethane.
However, both have not closed the door to dialogue with either candidate: from third and fourth position in the final ranking of the first round, they bring 1,723 and 1,492 votes respectively.
No closure even on a convergence of forces with Ferruccio Giovetti (1,169 votes in the first round), despite the fact that in his “Security and Common Sense” list there are candidates who strongly disagree with the choices of the center-right parties, such as Alessandro Carpani and Pietro Burgazzi.
On the other side there is the centre-left, which has already cleared the football issues at the end of the marathon counting. From grey-red comparisons to those of political extra time: for Andrew Virgil more than the percentage point to recover there is a new game to play. Two weeks of playoffs, which the outgoing vice mayor with ten years of activity under his belt wants to face without bothering the big names in national politics, but by gathering a team that can make a difference locally, in local relations. The meeting that will decide the tactics to be followed in the next eleven days will be held on Tuesday evening.
