The spotlight will be on Arezzo on Saturday 15 June at 11.15am on RAI2 in the episode of “We’re looking for you: mission work”, the television format hosted by Adriana Volpe which introduces the general television audience to the reality of businesses and the dreams and stories of those looking for a employment with the aim of offering young candidates the opportunity to be selected for an employment contract.

In the foreground, the jewelry company “Amen” with its products between tradition and innovation, the market spaces and job opportunities of a company that operates in the largest goldsmith district in Italy and Europe.

The owner Giovanni Licastro and his staff will be talking to three young people, all students in their early twenties who want to get involved to enter the world of work. The jewelry designer figure to be included in the workforce will be selected from among them.

The protagonists of the episode will also be the president of Cna Toscana Luca Tonini, the president of Cna Arezzo Fabio Mascagni and the Director Edi Anasetti.

“Next Saturday on Rai2 we will return to talking about craftsmanship in a Cna associated company – he underlines Luca Tonini, president of Cna Toscana – visiting the Arezzo jewelery company I underlined how artistic craftsmanship was born in our region, here the ‘workshops’ which still characterize the villages and cities of art developed here. For us, craftsmanship does not simply mean the production of an artefact, but a work that sees hands, head and heart proceed together to create something unique. Cna is a permanent observatory for the protection of Made in Tuscany and a link between companies and institutions to enhance production on the markets. I am sure that our message arrived clearly and precisely and for this I thank the production of the program and the very good and professional presenter”.

“This is an important opportunity for RAI2 to introduce young people to artisanal work and the opportunities it offers both in terms of jobs and as an opportunity for self-entrepreneurship – he explains Fabio Mascagni, president of Cna Arezzo – our mission is to shorten the distance between school and the world of work by telling students about the artisan business. In this episode the spotlight was turned on our city and on the leading sector of the Arezzo economy, on the goldsmith company that produces beauty and quality in its land, has its roots in the province and at the same time, with Cna’s export service which accompanies companies to foreign markets, has an international showcase, a window on the world”.

Within the program there will also be space to tell the story of Alice, the young aspiring stonemason who gave up a permanent position in the Vatican to pursue the dream of opening an artisan workshop in Casentino.

“His courage and determination deserve the spotlight on television – he explains Edi Anasetti, director of Cna Arezzo – She is our ambassador of craftsmanship among young people, Cna Arezzo has “adopted” her, she is our testimonial in meetings in schools and as soon as she finishes her studies we will offer her all the support and free assistance to start the activity and continue an ancient profession that is being lost. An important message for young people and for those like us who work alongside artisan businesses and the local area.”
