The Lupe of Alama San Martino di Lupari won the 2nd 3X3 A1 Women’s 2024 Techfind basketball trophy, which took place over the weekend in Roseto, at the Bellavista Arena. Anastasia Conte, Daba Diakhoumpa, Irene Guarise and Francesca Russo brought the yellow and black colors to the top step of the event which last summer – in the year of its foundation – was played in San Martino di Lupari and won by Virtus Segafredo Bologna, with the players Beatrice Barberis, Beatrice Del Pero, Alessandra Orsili and Francesca Pasa. The winning team defeated Omeps Battipaglia in the final, in whose ranks also played the Abruzzo winger Giulia Sorrentino and the long bell Caterina Mattera, both players of the Panthers Roseto in Serie A2, in the season just ended. In the quarter-finals of the basketball event – which took place over two days – San Martino di Lupari beat Campobasso, Battipaglia won over Geas Sesto San Giovanni, Schio beat Ragusa and Roma defeated Alpo Villafranca di Verona. Then, in the semi-final, San Martino di Lupari defeated Schio and Battipaglia defeated Roma. Unanimous appreciation arrived at the event organized by the Lega Basket Femminile with the support of the Italian Basketball Federation, Master Group Sport and the collaboration of Roseto Eventi. The Bellavista Arena, located on the beach, confirms itself as an ideal place for 3X3 basketball, an Olympic sport for large audiences.
