STATE POLICE: A LESSON WITH THE STATE POLICE ON LEGALITY – Ferrara Police Headquarters

During the period between January and May of the current year, the State Police held fifteen meetings in as many schools in the province of Ferrara, as part of the project for the prevention and fight against the phenomena of bullying and youth deviance.

The initiative was born from the collaboration with the Provincial Education Office which registered the participation of around 40 schools thanks also to the profitable results achieved in previous years.

The staff of the Anti-Crime Police Division, specifically of the Minors Office of the Ferrara Police Headquarters, took part in the meetings scheduled in the lower and upper secondary schools with interventions linked to the very delicate and complex youth phenomena in particular: gender violence , bullying, cyberbullying, legislation on drugs, the management of conflicts in the adolescent world, the measures of the Police Headquarters regarding prevention.

Around 750 students interacted with great interest, asking many questions, especially regarding drug legislation or cyberbullying, asking questions related to privacy and the dangers of spreading personal data online. Specific questions and curiosities also about personal experiences which found an answer in the experience of the State Police personnel present at the meetings, who in the lively dialogue with the students was sure to convey to them the importance of the concept of legality and respect for reads in everyday life.
