Student Housing, Finint Investments launches new project in Pisa

Finint Investmentsan asset management company of the Banca Finint Group, has stipulated, through the Pitagora Fund, a preliminary contract for the purchase and sale of an area of approximately 10,000 m2 in the south-east area of Pisawhere a new major will arise student hall with 372 beds totals.

The project involves the construction of a ultra-equipped complex in a previously reclaimed area, with the construction of a property and equipped green areas for free time, harmoniously inserted into the broader context of transformation and redevelopment of the site, once an industrial destination.
In addition to the beds, the student residence will include all the services ancillary to the residence, including a reception desk, a cafeteria and an area dedicated to laundry services. For entertainment and free time, a video room, a games room, convivial and leisure rooms will also be available to students as well as classrooms dedicated to study where it will also be possible to organize seminars. On the wellness front, a fully equipped gym and an additional outdoor sports structure will be built.

The construction of the new student residence will be entrusted to the Pitagora Fund, participated by Finint Investments, which CDP Real Asset SGR (Gruppo Cassa Depositi e Prestiti) recently joined through the National Social Housing Fund (FNAS).

The operation saw Urban Villas as the seller and implementer of the transformation and redevelopment of the site, which belonged to the Saint-Gobain company, and responds to the need to guarantee greater availability of space and places of residence on the academic front. In fact, in the Tuscan city there is one of the oldest universities in Italy and Europe with over 50,000 members, a university center of excellence which, however, to date cannot guarantee a housing offer for students adequate to the demand.

In recent months, the Pitagora Fund has concluded two other similar initiatives in Modena and Padua, where other student residences will be built for the overall creation of over 800 new beds in the three Italian provinces.
