Viterbo, two expulsion orders were carried out against illegal foreigners

VITERBO – As part of the daily activity aimed at verifying the regularity on the national territory of foreigners present in the province, in recent days staff of the State Police of the Immigration Office of the Viterbo Police Headquarters carried out two expulsion measures against as many non-EU citizens found not in compliance with current sector regulations on accommodation.
Specifically, a citizen of Indian nationality, who presented himself to propose a new request for international protection after a previous refusal by the Territorial Commission of Rome, was notified of a detention order issued by the Police Commissioner of Viterbo as he was irregular in the territory. In a second case the police carried out the expulsion of a Moroccan citizen who was released at the end of his sentence from the “Nicandro Izzo” prison in Viterbo after having served a sentence for the crimes of possession and dealing of narcotic substances.
Both were accompanied to the Permanence Centers for Repatriation, respectively, in Palazzo San Gervasio – Potenza and Ponte Galeria – Rome from which, at the end of the required procedures, they will be returned to their countries of origin. Since the beginning of the year, the Immigration Office of the Viterbo Police Headquarters has proceeded with the repatriation of nine non-EU citizens affected by expulsion orders, also as an alternative measure to detention.
A further fourteen foreigners were accompanied to be held at the Repatriation Permanence Centers throughout Italy. The cases treated to date are over sixty in total.
