Over the next two weekends the Under 17s and Under 15s will compete at Gozzano

As per tradition, this June too Padua will be the gravitational center of 5-a-side football Italian youth team, thanks to Petrarca Calcio a Cinque. In fact, the next two weekends will see teams under 17 and 15 compete against the best prospects in our country. The presentation will be held on Friday at Palazzo Moroni, in the headquarters of the Municipality of Padua, then on Saturday and Sunday we begin with the fifth edition of the National Tournament City of Padua reserved for under 17s. Following, a week later, there will be the event reserved for under 15s

The participating teams

At Under 17 level, the Italian vice-champions Aosta and the Ligurian champions CDM as well as Mantua, Forte Colleferro, Mondolfo, Città di Chieti and Cometa Lombardia will challenge Petrarca. As for the Under 15s, the Paduans will face three regional champions such as Mondolfo from the Marche, Mantua from Lombardy and Ducato Spoleto from Umbria; with them on the field there will be Italservice Pesaro, Olimpus Roma, Vigor Fucecchio and Forte Colleferro.

The rules

The tournament is organized according to the classic Italian formula, with two groups of four teams each; the top two of each group advance to play the semi-final and final, while the last two of the groups will advance to the second phase for the fifth to eighth position. The many prizes will be awarded on Sunday, with the presence of Padua’s sports councilor, Diego Bonavina.

Where to see the Tournament

Thanks to the 5-a-side Football Division, personally thanked by Vinumitaly Petrarca, the two tournaments will enjoy the coverage of Futsal TV, with all matches broadcast live on the national Italian five-a-side football platform.
