The Female Entrepreneurship Committee of the Brindisi – Taranto Chamber of Commerce has settled in the Business Citadel, Taranto headquarters of the Chamber of Commerce.
Established by resolution of the Council, the Committee is part of the large national network of similar bodies established at the Chambers of Commerce in compliance with the various protocols signed by Unioncamere with the competent Ministries since 1999, and operates with the priority objective of promoting and support the birth and consolidation of women’s businesses. The chamber councilors are part of it: Matilde Contento – who, as a member of the Council, also fulfills the role of contact person for this body; Elisa Forestiero; Rosita Giaracuni; Beatrice Lucarella; Lucia Minutello; Paola Scialpi; Franca Todaro.
«Since 2015, the IF Committee has no longer been reconstituted in the Chambers of Brindisi and Taranto. Today, therefore, with the installation, we not only restore to this body the right operational dignity within the organisation, but we ensure that the concepts of gender mainstreaming and female empowerment are present when we build chamber policies, making them truly concrete and inclusive – said the President of the Chamber of Commerce, Vincenzo Cesareo. The colleagues, who will proceed in the next sessions to complete the composition of the Committee and elect a President from among themselves, are very competent professionals and entrepreneurs in their field and on the topic. I am sure that they will be able to add a decisive value to the programming.”
