PALERMO – The reshuffle in the Schifani council will take place but it will not be imminent. The vote for the European elections has triggered the mechanism that will lead to the classic mid-legislature cut but in the shuffling of cards that is predicted there will be many elements to take into consideration. Two of these will be the change in the balance of power between the majority parties in the ARS, where at least two changes are on the horizon, and the appointments in healthcare.
Falcone in Brussels, Economy puzzle
The only certainty linked to the European Championships at the moment is Marco Falcone’s farewell to the regional government. The current Councilor for the Economy won the election in Brussels and will leave the Council. Falcone frees up not only the offices in via Notarbartolo, but also the seat at the Ars that will be assigned to Except Tomarchio. Tamajo’s choice

Schifani will have to solve a complicated puzzle. The governor’s modus operandi starts from an assumption: the European elections vote will not change the balance within the Council. The guiding star for the President of the Region continues to be the 2022 vote. Translated: the names of the councilors should change, not the number of delegations assigned to the parties.
Changes in sight at Ars
The road to the reshuffle, however, is still long and therefore Palazzo d’Orleans will also be unable to take into account the possible changes on the Ars board. Some parliamentary groups in Sala d’Ercole will soon increase their specific weight. The spotlight is on Forza Italia itself and Cuffaro’s DC, always in turmoil.
The names for the new council
There are several names at stake for the new council: in the DC, for example, the Ragusan is hot on the scene Ignazio Abbate which should come in instead of Nuccia Albano. Other possible changes concern Fratelli d’Italia, with the entry of Giusy Savarino which collected 22,700 votes in the European elections.
