Renewable energy, security, sustainability and national strategies for the green and digital transition are just some of the many themes that will be protagonists at Smart Building Levante 2024third edition of the biennial international fair on plant engineering and construction in the Mediterranean area, which will take place in Bari on 14 and 15 November at the Nuova Fiera del Levante.
A return in style
The fair will have an international scope, but without forgetting its Italian and local roots.
“Our objective is to orient the contents and make them coherent with the specific vocations of Puglia, southern Italy and the Mediterranean area” he explains Gaetano Frulli, President of the Nuova Fiera del Levante. “For this reason we will have as interlocutors all the operators in our territory and those in the cross-border regions, with which Bari has a long tradition of friendly relations. In fact, we will talk not only about green construction, but also about tourist accommodation and, for the first time, about sustainable data centers, proposing these territories as ideal for attracting important investments”.
It is also the first post-Covid edition and, as such, offers the opportunity for a new relaunch of the topics covered.
“The winning formula of the first edition of 2018 is revived, innovating it and offering the territory a highly inclusive event, designed and created with a multitude of local entities” he adds Luca Baldin event manager of the event. “Naturally there is the support of Nuova Fiera del Levante, but also of the Polytechnic of Bari and the three Apulian production districts of the sector. The partnership with MIBA is fundamental, thanks to which it will be able to offer a 360-degree vision of solutions for producing zero-emission buildings, both new and renovated, equipped with all the most modern services”.
The Smart Building Levante 2024 events calendar
The event will also host several special events:
- the second edition of the “Bari Smart City Conference”, a high-profile scientific event organized in collaboration with the Polytechnic of Bari on the theme “Present and future of Mediterranean cities” (13 and 14 November at the Polytechnic of Bari and the Nuova Fiera del Levante);
- a workshop on hospitality with NZEB buildings (Nearly Zero Energy Building) created in collaboration with the entire Apulian supply chain;
- The “Data Center Summit”, dedicated to the sustainability of these strategic infrastructures;
- the area “Keep Zero – Building for the climate”, created in collaboration with ANCE Puglia, concerning innovation in the field of construction and the industrialization of the building product.
