In addition to the European Championships, in 37 Sicilian municipalities citizens went to the polls for elect its own administrative bodies. The final figure recorded a turnout of 58.05%.
462,281 voters were called to vote. In Caltanissetta, the only capital where voting was held, the turnout was 55.90%, 0.63% less than in the previous municipal elections. The highest turnout was in the province of Messina (ten municipalities voting) with 65.67%. The lowest in the province of Agrigento (six municipalities voting) with 45.41%.

PROVINCE OF CALTANISSETTA
TO Caltanissetta they go to ballot candidates for mayor Walter Tesauro (centre-right) which obtained 34.89% e Annalisa Petitto (civic supported by the centre-left) with 30.47%. Former mayor Roberto Gambino of the M5s is out. The ballots will be held on June 23 and 24.
Second round also a Frost. The is looming ballot among the candidates for mayor Rita Cosentino (centre-right) which would have 38% e Terenziano Di Stefano (centre-left) with 28%.
TO Mazarin Mimmo Faraci was elected mayor with 40.60%.
PROVINCE OF PALERMO
TO Bagheria he was reconfirmed mayor Filippo Tripoli, also supported by the Libertà list, with 71.46%. TO Monreale he was re-elected mayor Alberto Arcidiacono with 83.83%. Francesco Davì he won with 53.39% a Borgetto, Vera Abbate with 37.29% a Cinisi, Giuseppe Palmeri with 58.02% a Roccamena And Giuseppe Minutilla with 64.5% a San Mauro Castelverde. TO Lionheart Walter Ra the outgoing Nicolò Nicolosi passed with 42.38%.
The streets of Calogero D’Anna And Nicolò Granàthe only candidates respectively for Bompietro And Hadrian’s Palace.
PROVINCE OF TRAPANI
The lawyer Giovanni Lentini is the new mayor of Castelvetrano, elected with 6277 votes corresponding to 40.9%. Lentini was playing the match with the doctor Salvatore Stuppia who achieved 3,415 votes (22.2%). Lentini was supported by Prima l’Italia Lega, Forza Italia, FdI and three other civic lists. Stuppia, however, was supported by three civic lists. The lawyer Marco Campagna came third with 2,539 votes (16.5%). Flop, however, for the outgoing mayor Enzo Alfano of the M5S who stood at 4.4% with 676.
Re-elected in the first round a Mazara del Vallo the outgoing mayor Salvatore Quinci, with 48% of the preferences. It is the first time since the direct election of the mayor was introduced that the mayor has been elected in the first round in the city. An official of the Revenue Agency, Quinci administered the city for five years.
The architect Vito Scalisi was elected mayor of Salemi. Scalisi, who was supported by the civic list “Scelgo Salemi”, obtained 56.69 percent against 37.1 for the teacher Giuseppina Spagnolo. The third candidate, Francesco Giuseppe Crimi, obtained 6.21%.

TO Ragalna was elected mayor Nino Caruso with 59.54%. To Aci Castello was elected mayor Carmelo Scandurra with 64.27%. TO Zafferana Etnea was elected mayor Salvatore Russo with 54.7%. TO Motta Sant’Anastasia was elected mayor Antonio Bellia with 40.44%.
PROVINCE OF AGRIGENTO
TO Campobello di Licata was elected mayor Vito Terrana with 33.61%. TO Saint Elizabeth was elected mayor Liborio Gaziano with 52.93%. To Alessandria della Rocca was elected mayor Salvatore Mangione with 50.53%. TO Caltabellotta was elected mayor Biagio Marciante with 55.92%. TO Naro was elected mayor Melchiorre Milco Dalacchi with 48.44%, while the outgoing Maria Grazia Brandara obtained 25.08% A Calmed down (Agriento) Calogero Bongiorno was elected mayor with 40.61%.
