Wine, on June 21st “Red Montalcino” celebrates its 40th Denomination

Milan, 11 June. (askanews) – The Brunello di Montalcino wine consortium returns to host on Friday 21 June in the medieval fortress of the Tuscan village “Red Montalcino”, the event dedicated to the red wine of the denomination which this year blows out forty candles and will be the protagonist of moments of discussion , tastings, tastings and food pairing.

To open the event, at 11am by invitation at the Cloister of Sant’Agostino, the talk “Red Evolution: origins and future of Rosso di Montalcino” moderated by Barbara Di Fresco who, through the voices of Enzo Tiezzi, Andrea Costanti and Francesco Ripaccioli retraces the first forty years of the denomination and takes stock of the prospects and new trends of an identifying product for a look that looks from the past to the future of the DOC.

At 6pm the Fortress also opens its doors to wine enthusiasts for the usual “walk around tasting” with 68 companies, followed at 8pm by the opening of the “food corners” offering regional, vegan and fusion gastronomic specialties from the wine shop collective with sommelier service and at 10pm the mixology area with local products. Closing with “Red Montalcino under the stars”, the DJ set by Jay Carol Gigli of the Jas&Jay duo.
