As already covered by LatinaCorriere.it yesterday, the city of Latina is preparing to welcome a sporting event of great importance: next autumn, the Francioni stadium will be the scene of a match of the national Under 21 men’s football team. An occasion that will bring thousands of fans to the city and represents an important promotional opportunity for the area.
The words of satisfaction from the Pontine administration have arrived. The mayor of Latina, Matilde Celentano, expressed gratitude towards the president of the Lazio Region, Francesco Rocca, for having had the foresight to link sporting competitions to the valorisation of the territory. “As the Municipality of Latina – declared Mayor Celentano – we are pleased to host the Under 21 men’s football team at the Francioni stadium next autumn. An event that will bring thousands of fans to the city.”
The enthusiasm for the initiative is also shared by the sports councilor of the Municipality of Latina, Andrea Chiarato, who thanked the regional sports councilor, Elena Palazzo, for the work carried out in collaboration with her department to bring the national team Italian to Latina. “An event that has not been seen in our city for more than a decade and which demonstrates the commitment towards the territory of the province. It is an important opportunity to give Latina back the visibility it deserves in the sporting field”, commented Chiarato.
The municipal administration is already working, together with the Region, to plan the next steps to take for the organizational purposes of the event at Francioni. This joint commitment aims to ensure that the event is a success and that Latina can derive maximum benefit from it in terms of visibility and development of the territory.
