He had participated in a gang rape against a disabled person and today he was sent to trial on charges of sexual assault. PG, 23 years old, on 1 April 2019, together with two of Fondi’s peers, had committed a series of abuses against a then 40-year-old man suffering from intellectual disability and autism problems.

The three very young people had met the man near the Fondi multimedia library and had forced him to lie on the ground, had made him lower his trousers and underwear and had masturbated him using twigs. All by filming the scene with mobile phones and then spreading the video on two WhatsApp chats. A violence committed, as stated in the indictment, “abusing his condition of psychological inferiority”. The police were the ones who investigated and managed to trace the protagonists.

Two of them have already been sent to trial in October 2021 while today, Tuesday 11 June, at the preliminary hearing the position of the third boy against whom the public prosecutor Valerio De Luca requested to be sent to trial was discussed. At the end of the deliberations, the preliminary hearing judge Giuseppe Molfese accepted the request, sending the 23-year-old to trial, assisted by the lawyer Luca Velletri. The first hearing of the trial is scheduled for May 6 next year before the second criminal panel of the Court of Latina.
