Crowd for Jannik Sinner, who arrived at the Sesto Town Hall and was welcomed by local institutions and by fans and onlookers who had been waiting for his arrival for over two hours, despite the rain. The champion signed the register for honorary citizenship of the Municipality of Sesto.

“I am very happy to be here, a place where I was born and where I lived my youth with friends and family. I am happy to see so many kids here and to share this day with them”, said Jannik Sinner as soon as he arrived at the “Sport Sexten”, the sports facility where he began his tennis career and where many young tennis players from the clubs of Alto Adige awaited him.

The Davis Cup, in a display case on the stage, and the No. 1 ATP trophy are also on display on stage. “If one is happy with what he does I think he has already won”, Sinner told the boys. The president of the Province of Bolzano, Arno Kompatscher, also spoke on stage. “We are proud of you. Stay as you are,” the governor said. “Jannik has stolen a few hours of our nights lately with his matches, but we are very honored that today he is here to spend an afternoon with the children and with us”, added the mayor of Sesto, Thomas Summerer.
